Colorado College provides many great perks to its employees and their families, including the following:

Arts and Crafts - The Arts and Crafts program at Colorado College supports students from all areas of the college to explore, experiment, and engage with art and craft processes and histories. The program is co-curricular and provides art making experiences outside of the traditional classroom environment. In Arts and Crafts, we embrace experimentation, failure, joy, friendships, and space to make connections to learning and everyday life. The Arts and Crafts programs are open to students, staff, and faculty and you can find out more on the Arts and Crafts website.

Athletics - Many Colorado College athletics sponsors offer discounts to CC employees and students. see the CC Tigers website for more information.

Baca Campus, Crestone, Colorado - Private visits by CC staff and faculty are offered as a benefit to CC employees. The Baca can be reserved when not in use by class or groups for a minimal fee. To make a reservation, please visit the Baca webpage.

Bookstore - The CC Bookstore honors a 10% discount to all faculty and staff for all purchases on logo items with a valid gold card.

Campus Dining Services (Bon Appétit) - Bon Appetit offers both lunch and dinner club, as well as business lunch coupons as amenities to CC employees.

CC Cabin - CC faculty/staff may use the cabin for personal use. It may be reserved for one night at a time, additional nights may be available if no other groups/department/classes/etc. have requested the time. Employees can make a reservation through Summit (choose "Outdoor Education").

Children's Center - The Colorado College Cheryl Schlessman Bennett Children's Center provides care for infants through preschoolers and also offers an afterschool care program. Please visit the Children's Center website for more information or call to schedule a tour!

Childcare & Household Help - The Career Center is happy to help you post opportunities for short-term or temporary jobs for Colorado College students. If you have a need for childcare, household chores, etc., please email a detailed job description with expectations, pay offered, and contact information to CareerCenter@ColoradoCollege.edu to be posted in Handshake (our job and internship database) under our “Local Odd Jobs Close to Colorado College” to be easily accessible to students.

Computers & Software - Staff and Faculty may have a free copy of Microsoft Office, Mathematica, ChemBioDraw 3D ultra for use on their home computers. Apple and Dell computers are available for purchase at a discount (Apple and Dell computer discount) Software is also available at a discount (software discount). Email, calendar, and contacts sync with a CC email account are also available via an exchange set up on smartphones and the Help Desk can assist employees with that setup. Employees may also borrow a wide array of items from Media Services (cameras, microphones, webcams, projectors, Ipads, etc.) and the Solutions Center (mac laptops, pc laptops, adapters, etc.). We also offer free electronics recycling in the library at the Solutions Center- bring in old computers, microwaves, toasters, radios… pretty much anything electronic to be recycled.

El Pomar Sports Center - The newly renovated El Pomar Sports Center is open to all Colorado College students, faculty, and staff.

Fine Arts Center - Museum and Theatre Amenities

Museum

  • Free Museum admission with CC Gold Card
  • 50% Museum Memberships - 15% off single theatre tickets, access to exclusive member events, discounts on Bemis School of Art classes, and reciprocal entry to other museums around the country.
  • Deco Lounge and Bar is open every Friday from 5:00pm - 8:00pm with live music on the first Friday of every month. 

Theatre

  • Theatre Rush Tickets, available the day of the performance, are $30 for staff/faculty with CC Gold Card (one per card)
  • Discounted tickets with Museum Membership

Gold Card Office - The ITS Solutions Center now issues gold cards.

Colorado College Mail Center – The College Mail Center is located at 819 N. Tejon in the Barbara Yalich Student Support Center. At the Mail Center you are able to purchase stamps and ship packages through USPS, FedEx, and UPS. Please contact mailservices@cp55586.com or ext 6739 for additional information.

Outdoor Programs - Staff have access to rent any outdoor equipment such as sleeping bags, tents, stoves, telemark skis, snowshoes, cookware, backpacks, and much more from the Ahlberg Gear House located on Weber St at the same rate as students. The Ritt Kellogg Climbing Gym is available free of charge for staff wishing to climb or learn new skills. All equipment and classes are free of charge. Staff can sign up for the classes on our web portal called SUMMIT linked off of the main CC Outdoor Education website. Human Resources and Outdoor Education is beginning to offer staff/faculty outing trips and special events that staff is encouraged to participate in. For any questions, please contact Outdoor Education.

SARP - The Sexual Assault Response Program is one of the confidential resources available for staff and faculty, as well (including Chaplains and EAP). Sexual Assault Response staff members can help staff and faculty understand their reporting options and will make referrals for support to EAP or private practice therapists. Shove Chapel - Shove Memorial Chapel was dedicated on November 24, 1931, and is "open for services of any and all denominations." Today, we continue a tradition of hospitality to persons of all faiths. As the college schedule permits, the chapel is available for religious gatherings, individual prayer and meditation, special events, weddings, and memorial services. Please call the chapel office at x6638 for more information. The chapel tower roof offers an exceptional view of the campus. The seminar room on the lower level hosts several weekly support groups and various meetings as well as the late-night coffee house Sacred Grounds.

Tech Sandbox - Staff and faculty may use the Tech Sandbox for personal projects if no one is using the equipment for class/research. Also available:

  • CD/DVD copying (11 at once)
  • Adobe Creative Suite Software
  • Color Printing
  • VR

Tutt Library - The rich resources of Tutt Library are available to employees for work-related purposes or personal enrichment. The library offers a wide array of books both popular and academic. Faculty and staff may also borrow materials through Prospector, a unified catalog and interlibrary loan project of many academic, public, and special libraries in Colorado and Wyoming. In addition, the library offers many thousands of journal and periodical titles, including Consumer Reports and The Economist. Remote access to library databases and electronic journal collections is available. The library also has a special collections department that houses college archives, local history materials, and rare books; and is a federal government depository library. Whatever your need, there are reference librarians on duty to assist you in finding information and to help you navigate the many databases and information resources available at the library. Worner Information Desk - The Worner desk is a communication and information center for all campus and community events. Tickets are available for hockey games and other campus events; or employees may schedule the use of all public meeting rooms on campus, arrange for self-guided tours of the CC campus, visit the lost and found, or borrow items such as magazines and newspapers, poster-making supplies, sidewalk chalk, and many other supplies. Desk hours are Mon-Fri 8:00AM-10:00PM, Sat-Sun 9:00AM-10:00PM. Extended study hours are Sun-Thurs 8:00 AM-2:00 AM. May have reduced hours at special times of the year (half block, spring break, end of the year, etc.)

Writing Center - The Writing Center offers help at any stage of any writing process including applications, letters, resumes, grants, essays, etc. Along with our student tutors, we also staff a professional tutor and an English as a Second Language instructor. Daytime and evening hours are available. Visit the Writing Center website or call x6742 for an appointment.
